The end of the school year is nearby and my 10 years old students are going to sing a song in English. What kind of song do you advise me? I thought about Mama Mia it s lovely and they love it. Do you have any other suggestions? I appreciate your help. Have a nice day, evening or night.
 Hugs from Portugal.

Well, I think Mamma Mia is an adult love song - not a child s song. There are many wonderful songs for children why not find a good song with a lyric that fits 10 year olds.

Perhaps Mama Mia would be too difficult for 10 yrs old children. Try with something easier and connected to summer and holidays
Perhaps you can find something here: http://www.kididdles.com/lyrics/

							Hi Morganalin!
I teach 7th and 8th grades. They are really crazy about Mama Mia.
Although it s not a very easy song it depends on the students you have. At least it s joyful and the refrain is easy to catch.

Have a good night! |

10-year-olds need ACTION!!! Hokey Cokey is a HIT! If you didn t do it already ... The Wheels .. If You re Happy ... But whatever you choose, make sure you have ACTION!!! Trust me on this one. I may be a brat and all, but i m also an expert when it comes to children performing.

							I totally agree with Ivona.
I m going to teach me primary students the Hokey Cokey for the final school party, cause they already know the gestures and the lyrics in portuguese and I must say they adore the song.
Have you seen Panda Channel lately?
Just check the videoclip and you will know what I m talking about.

I hope this helps.
Hugs.

Hi Morganalin! At an Open Class my students sang Build me up, by The Foundations. Check the song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXJL5B3Lb3s Although it s not a song for children it s super cute and, since most parents know it, they get the goose bumps from listening to their kids singing it... Plus, kids had so much fun learning it! Here s the activity to work with it: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=70613#thetop Hope you like it! Cyn
