6 songs ONE download. Stand by Me, From a Distance, NewYork New York, I can see clearly now, I will survive, Time in a bottle
I have just finished a 6 week module with one of my adult conversation groups. We did a short listening component each week.
These are the songs I used. First page of each song has gaps to fill and the full text is on the next page. All YOUTUBE links are also given on each song (Although I used a CD)
A lot of the missing words that I took out were specifically for developing new vocabulary. We also discussed style of music, whether they knew the singer etc. These songs were very successful for my group. I will add my other groups when I have finished teaching them.
*** Please note that for the last song Time in a Bottle, Jim Croce had not done any videoed recordings of the song before he tragically died in a plane crash so the link I give here is the closest I can find to the original song which is very good. (I have the original song as MP3)
