Teaching future time clauses with songs Teaching future time clauses with songs

I use this sheet to introduce my adult and teenage students to the concept of future time clauses. First I have them fill in the blanks based on a dictionary definition of the word, then they listen to the song to check their answers. Second, they have to listen for the title of the song (all of which contain a future time clause). I ask them to write down the line and then ask them which tenses it contains (future simple and present simple). From there, I ask them to explain why and I begin explaining the concept. It´s a really good way to help them remember that it´s NOT "before I will go," as my students tend to say. A key is included, and the three songs are quite easy to find on youtube. Hope this works for you as well as it does for me!
