incorrect grammar and confusing directions posted by
Hello. Well I think this COULD be a really good and useful worksheet, unfortunately there are so many mistakes that I personally had to go back and change all of the mistakes before printing it out and handing out to my students. First, in box number 5, it is unclear who is answering the questions which left my students very confused. There is also a rather big grammatical error. In number 3, it reads "Is Nick a good student? Yes he is, he studies good." Good? That is incorrect grammar. It should read "he studies WELL" You use WELL when you are referring to an action. The action is "studies." Also in number 6 the question is "Are we English?" But the answer is very confusing as to who should be answering it. Is the question directed at the person asking it or is it a question for an outside 2nd person? The same goes for number 7. This is extremely confusing and needs to be clarified in the directions. Also, in the last exercise, in box number 6, the sentence that reads "my best friends are ______ANN, Dan and Tom. There is a space for an answer but no answer needs to go there which could also be very confusing for the student. And lastly, in box number 5 the directions read "answer the QUAESTION. It is spelled QUESTION.
The worksheet is well planned out and organized well but you really need to proofread your worksheets before you give them to your students. I hope you did not give this to any of your students. As for the teacher, it is their responsibility to make sure the worksheet is correct before handing it out but you should probably NOT submit worksheets with so many errors on them to this website. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
