									Stop The Tuk Tuk

									| | Stop The Tuk Tuk
I played this in Thailand with Thai students. Itīs a similar version of stop the bus. There are 6 games to use on this sheet. The game can be played in groups or individually.
How to prepare the game: First split the students up in to groups then decide with the class 6 categories e.g. 1. Country 2. Animal 3. Food or drink 4. Movie 5. Brand name 6. Famous person and write them on the board. (the categories can be made more difficult depending on the level of the class) Tell the students to copy categories to the categories list at the top right corner of the sheet.
How to play: The students first use game 1. Write a letter on the board e.g.(T). The students then quickly write in game 1 words beginning with the letter (T) but the words must be from the categories already listed above e.g. 1. Thailand 2. Toad 3. Tomato 4. Titanic 5. Toyota 6. Tiger Woods. The first group to finish writing all the words shouts "STOP THE TUK TUK" everyone stops writing. If the group that shouted stop the tuk tuk has correct words then they get one point and the game is repeated with a different letter for game 2.
It is a good idea when playing in groups to only allow one pencil or pen.
