This is an exerpt of a story for discussion and identification of different tenses used in the text. SS are asked to continue with the story using at least 2 different tenses. There is a key and an eg of the beginning of the next chapter. My ss enjoyd discussing the character at length. The aim of the ws was to get the ss to talk as much as possible orally and then continue practicing their writing skills.
