English Used in Advertisements -- for Language Learners - Explanations and Exercises with Answer Keys
I have developed these worksheets to help language learners understand the many phrases and idioms used in advertising. We are constantly surrounded by advertising language, (sales events, rebates, discounts, guarantees, warranties, bargains, trade ins etc). All this can be very confusing for the language learner. Each phrase in the worksheet is taken from actual TV, radio, online or flyer advertising and is explained. Examples of use are given as well. There are three exercises so the students can demonstrate their understanding of the advertising vocabulary. Its important because it enables the student to possibly save money and secure a better deal.
