I used this situational text to teach would rather, would like, and want to do for planning a day out. Introduce the characters then divide Ss into two groups (Paul & Alice). In groups Ss read their roles, answer the grammar use questions and fill in the thought bubbles based on the text. Ss from each group then match up and compare Paul & Alice´s thoughts.
