a little about me a little about me

Get to know your classmates - writing, reading and speaking activity Several copies can be cut up into individual sentences, which students take and complete at their own pace (meaning weaker students can take their time without holding up stronger students), then put them into a hat. When students have finished writing, each student then takes a slip and asks questions around the class to find out who wrote it (instruct students to speak and listen, not show the sheet to other students). When they find the person they can take another slip of paper until all the slips have been taken. Encourage students to not only find out who wrote it but also ask more questions to find out as much as possible. Students can then share the information about each other - speaking or writing. Alternatively, students can complete the whole sheet and then all sheets are mixed up. Each student takes one and tries to find out who wrote it, then they should find out more information, and use the information to introduce the student to the rest of the class.
