Which Country is The Best to Learn English?
In this activity, students will read a text taken from a website called TRAVBLA and they match new vocabulary with respective meaning. Right after that, they will fill out a chart with PROS and CONS of each country. They are supposed to share results after. Next, students will be taught what is the structure of a formal Essay: Body (hook, background info and thesis statement), Body and Conclusion. They will be asked to write an essay saying to which country they would like to go to learn English and why. Lastly, thereīs a class debate in which the teacher can divide students in 2 or 3 groups according to the countries students choose and let them debate why the selected country is better and why. It worked amazingly with my students! They got really excited! I hope you enjoy!
