Divide students into groups of 3 or 4. Distribute handout. Follow the activities. At the end of each activity, have the groups write their funniest or best sentence on the board. Have them go around and say it aloud. Most of the terminology is explained with examples given. I would just go over them. Don’t worry so much about the exact terms, the point is to just getting them to be creative in their writing. In the final activity, the teacher will project: • 3 videos • 3 photos • 3 audios Students will practice using any/all techniques learned to describe what they are seeing, hearing, or feeling. Links to video, audio used are listed below. For photos, please use your own. I used funny and/or surprising photos. All the video and audio is copy write free.
