| | Musical Song Conversation Chart
This is an easy way to teach music to your students. Prepare them with the proper vocabulary to describe music (i.e. upbeat, steady rhythm, melody etc.), emotions music may give you, instruments they may hear and other parts of music (lyrics, vocals etc.) so students can practice talking about music.
Choose three songs with different styles/genres and have students listen to the first song, and fill in the chart. Have them listen again and provide them with the lyrics. They can then ask questions about vocab/meaning and get a true feel for the song. After the chart is completed repeat same steps for songs 2 and if enough time, song 3. If you finish 2 or three songs finish up the class with a song comparison discussion. Enjoy jebedu. http://jebedu.webs.com
