I just wanted to share with you this funny poem about English Language that I found some time ago on the net. Itīs a poem by RICHARD LEDERER. I really think he is very smart because of the way he plays with the words. Nice for reading and having fun with your students. They surely will agree with some of the authorīs ideas.

Hey Damielle!!!

This is a great worksheet!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Having said that, I believe that you the author of this writing is not who you say it is. If you check the web, you ll find thousands of pages with the very same poem/writing and none cites the real source. I have a slight suspicion, though, that the author of this piece is Richard Lederer, the auhor of the book "English is a crazy language" and the site www.verbivore.com.

Since I couldn t find out by myself, I asked my language teacher from my Masters Degree and she thinks it might be him too, though she cannot tell for sure. I will continue to investigate to see if we can discover the mystery ;)

Incidentally, I have recently posted a similar piece here:

http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=102726#thetop

And I also think this might belong to Mr. Lederer, but I couldn t really find out. If somebody knows I would really appreciate their information.

So, I hope I ve been useful.

Again, great work...and thanks so much for sharing

Cheers

Aldana
