Make your own Country
This is an fun exercise were students create their own country.
They use their imagination and think of an interesting funny country. (For example; Country name= Shroomtopia. Languages: Shroomish + Mushean)
First students complete a writing exercise. (Two pages long) This includes questions such as; What is your countries name? What languages do people speak in your country? etc
After this students use the fact sheet template to enter information about their made-up country.
Finally the students can present their new country to the class in the form of a presentation.
For this exercise you can elicit the words capital city, population, climate, landmark, religion, languages, laws, geography.
