Self-Introduction Worksheet - Getting to Know You
I used this worksheet as part of my self-introduction. I would talk about myself and then hand out the worksheet and say "You have heard all about me! Now I want to hear about you!" As a new instructor, it was a great way for me to find out what bands, books, etc. are popular. It was also a good way to gauge the level/interest and motivation for English students.
Many students are very shy about asking me questions in English outloud. When they wrote a question for me on their worksheet I would answer it on the paper, however when many classes had used this worksheet - I typed up a large print out with all of their questions about me to be handed out at school. I thought it might be interesting for them to find out what kinds of questions I am being asked. All in all, I would say this was a very effective worksheet.
