Mystery: Land degradation due to deforestation
This mystery is intented for Geography lessons. The mystery is a game, where the students get a short story with a leading question that needs to be solved. The topic is concerned with land degradation and deforestation. The students (groups of 4) have to read the cue cards (cut them out and put them into an envelope) and put the cards together in some kind of causal network to find the answer tot he leading question. Mysteries are a method to help students think logically and solve problems on a higher cognitive level. If land degradation is your topic, that´s the game you want our students to play to revise the topic and learn more about land degrdation due to deforestation in Africa.
