I got the idea for this worksheet from my students who have a lot of fun trying to come up with literal translations of English idioms into their own language and vice versa. In this worksheet the students first complete the idioms with the correct animal words and then they match the idioms to their definitions. Finally they use the same idioms to complete some sample sentences. Printer-Friendly Copy and Answer Key provided.
I have also uploaded an online exercise version here: http://www.eslprintables.com/exercise.asp?id=8321#thetop
