Correct Order of Prepositional Phrases
This exercise is intended for advanced speakers who have trouble structuring complex sentences correctly. Many of my advanced adult students have this issue, and I was not able to find an existing exercise online that tackled the issue in precisely the way I wanted it to, so I finally made my own. Hope its useful to you as well.

Problem Solving
We used a version of this without the words for a kindergarten class, and they had no problem completing it on their own. It can work well for ESL students, or for a science class, which is what we used it for.

Cause & Effect Match
We used a version of this without the words included for three kindergarten classes, and they had no trouble completing it. Its great for ESL practice or even a science class, which is what we used it for.

Conflict Resolution
This worksheet is to help students understand how to resolve conflicts. We did it as a class activity for kindergarten. For that age group, it required teacher guidance.

Living Things Habitat Worksheet
We used this as a summative assessment for the following AERO standard: Use a model to represent the relationship between the needs of different plants or animals (including humans). Thats why theres a rubric. If youd rather just use it as a worksheet, you can simply cut that part off. Some pictures fit into more than one environment.

Basic English Conversational Phrases
This is meant for adults and I created it for my adult class. It helps people understand the basic flow of a formal or casual conversation, with questions and responses lined up on opposite sides of the page. I suggest pairing up students and using it as an icebreaker within the first few days of a class.

Adjectives, Verbs and Nouns Quiz
This worksheet helps students pick apart sentences (the first step to fully diagramming one) by identifying the main parts: adjectives, verbs and nouns. The answer sheet is included. This is meant to be a more simple exercise, so I did not include helping verbs, compound verbs or gerunds in my answer key, but you are of course free to grade it as...

Prefix & Suffix Quiz
Students must make words using the proper prefixes and suffixes that fit each root word. This worksheet is for practice only, it is not a teaching worksheet! It can only be used with students who already have a basic understanding of prefixes and suffixes, and know how to read English at an intermediate level.

More than, Less than, As ___ as, Not as ___ as
Instead of just adding "er" or "est" to the end of the word, students can use this worksheet to explore making comparisons with "more than" or "less than" or "as (adjective) as" or "not as (adjective) as" in their sentences. Some helpful guides are provided for a few sentences, but students at this level should be able to craft their own sentence ...

Patbingsu How-To
This worksheet is intended to assist with reading comprehension for intermediate students who already understand basic concepts such as antonyms and synomyms. We used it to accompany a special cooking day focusing on the popular Korean dessert "PATBINGSU" but you can use it for any assignment that requires reading practice or recipe practice or ju...
