Mixed Worksheet
This is a simple little worksheet to throw in for some of the younger kids. It should take a little time, but not much. The most ESL training part is the GAMES words, which should take only a few minutes.

Introductions
This is a general introduction that students can and should practice so that they are familiar with speaking. I suggest having them practice it at home then do it before an audience to prepare them for speaking in front of others as well.

A top sheet for giving directions (B&W)
I found some other sheets that were really nice on this site, but they were all in color, which I cannot afford to print. So I used a lot of other worksheets as the basis. I kept the bottom half blank because (in the class I taught) we used it to set up our own zoo. It was a good activity, in general.

Ranking of Characteristics
This is one of my favorite activities to do with students on two levels. One is it is a vocabulary activity teaching several important words. But more importantly, it causes students to evaluate various occupations. To judge whats important as a quality in a person. Looks may seem important in a girlfriend, but is it more important than being ho...

Student Search - Back from Vacation!
A good first day activity for ESL students coming back from vacation. Each student must go about the room and ask one or two questions, and get a signature from the person who gives their answer. Its best to make sure they know, they have to write what the other student says (making communication key), and get the signature as well.

Superstitions
This is a general worksheet about superstitions. I had to research and find some good ones. All of the superstitions involving pretty girls are obviously the made up ones, the rest are real superstitions.

Compare Board Game
A board game where students compare two subjects. Basically, a skit should be something like; "compare 2 vegetables. Ok... corn and cucumber." "Ok... corn is yellow. You have to tear off the husk off a corn. You can pop corn in the microwave. I like corn more."

Russia - Geography
Hello, all. This is part of a series of geography lessons about various countries. Im uploading a few to see if others are interested in not just expanding students vocabulary but also their knowledge of how countries are.

History of Rock and Roll
A powerpoint I made which has my own take on the course of rock music. Looking up key names will provide interesting songs to play while showing the slides and discussing with students. ESL students never get to listen to music and this might be a great way to talk about it with them.
