Hi, everybody Which of these verbs is the right.? Another suggestion? "The rain has erased my spots", said the ladybird "The rain has wiped out my spots", said the ladybird First of all Iwant to thank you for your help last weeK about the word "aliment" (I wanted to know if it existed in English) Thanks in advance |

Both are correct, but I think it would be better to say either The rain has washed off my spots The rain has rinsed off my spots. Bruce |

I have to agree with Bruce. "Erased" implies the existence of an eraser, and "wiped out" implies a cloth, rag, sponge, or similar item. "Washed" and "rinsed" both imply water, which describes rain perfectly. |

agree with the above .... I would use "The rain has erased..." in poetry-like expression: "The rain has erased my memories.... " |

I prefer the �off � at the end. �The rain has washed my spots off. � |
