Text Talk Warmer
I use this as a warmer to classes about the internet or mobile phones. Simply cut out the different sides of the worksheet and get students to put them together. Afterwards you can get them to write text messages or emails to each other with as many different "text talk" words as possible.

Harry Potter and the Americanisms
This activity is to show some differences in British and American English that are brought up in Harry Potter.
It has been made to go with a chapter from David Crystals wonderful book. The Story of English in 100 Words.

Language Grab - speculation
This is a great activity to broaden your students speculation vocabulary and therefore help them greatly in doing exams. Ive found this to be greatly useful for CAE and FCE parts 2 and 3.
Enjoy.

FCE Part 3 Language Grab
I like to laminate these cards and hand them out at the start of class. I like students to try and use them as much as possible throughout the class. I also use them whenever students do focused speaking exam practice.
Really good for getting students used to the language they need for the Cambridge exams

Perfect PET Part 3 Writing. Part 1
Ive been slowly developing my PET students writing for a number of years now and Ive just about managed to get 90 of my students to do an almost perfect part 3 writing. This is a two part lesson plan. Part one being the bones of the class. Part two is the exciting way of sticking it in your students memories.
