A straightforward �find someone who� warmer focussing on skills and interests expressed in different ways (can, be good at, know how to, like). I designed it to review material from the GET WISE Your Future Work and Study Workbook, but it works well as a general speaking activity too.

Buying fruit at the market
This gives a simple shopping dialogue for speaking practise, with opportunity for substitution of different fruits. I use it in conjunction with flashcards showing different fruits and prices. Mine is set up for a student to practise with a tutor as the seller, but you could easily edit it to be for 2 students to practise together.

Supermarket catalogue search - fruit and vegetables
Provide students with supermarket catalogues. They must search them to find the listed fruit and vegetables. (You could edit the list if you needed to).
