listening to words, for pronunciation
Students can do this activity in a computer room with the teacher or in the class room on hard copy. The teacher covers her mouth and states a word and students need to write what they hear. You could also do it without covering your mouth for the first time. It sharpens their listening and assists with recognizing pronunication differences.

I tried this on my class and it worked well. Students do three activities on it.First they write the question, next they match the picture with the question, next they interact and ask the questions then they write a students name and finally they write the past tense.

I have made two of these ws. This one is simplier for those who just want to use it simply as a reading exercise with questions. I loved this text and so did my students who are mostly mums and could appreciate it. However you could also use it with kids for a mother�s day activity.
