I use these flashcards to help students construct sentences with proper word order. They are helpful in showing how pronouns take the place of a noun, adjective placement in English, and working on subject/verb agreement also. Animal Names and Sentences
Students first use a word bank to label the animals. They then put the animals into six different categories. The last step is that students use these categories to write sentences about them. I used this with a class of beginning speakers and found that they were able to do this quite easily and could apply it to write about other animals.

Use these cards to play a game similar to Go Fish. Students get 5 cards. They are trying to get sets of 4 of the same supply.
