Many of my students have requested that they have practice saying no...this is a very difficult thing for them to do in their new country.

Newcomers need to understand that it is alright to say no to anything that is offered them. Some of my students thought it rude that everything wasnīt placed in front of them so that they could eat what they wanted...When saying accepting or declining anything you only need to be polite.

This worksheet provides the student with the necessary voacabulary when shopping the Canada. My students spoke about their shopping expereinces for over an hour. Iīv included as many stores as I could think of but you can add more. Typically, advise the student to be polite and respectful and store clerks will do everything they can for you.
