Prepositions
This is a great worksheet reference for the more advance student. I use this sheet for homework so that they can apply each prep to a real-life situation.

Wedding
We have just completed a week on Weddings. Today we had a "shower" for the class. It was perfection! This is great for conversation...every woman and man love to talk about their marriage. Be careful though...you do have to be considerate when introducing the subject...let them talk! Have fun.

Borrow & Lend
This is a difficult piece of grammar for students to catch on to.
I put a time limit on this worksheet just to make it a little harder. Have fun

Learning Strategies
This is a great activity for the first lesson. It will let you listen to your new students and learn from them how they think that they learn best...you might be surprised with some of the answers.

Things to discuss #2
It is hard to come up with topics for discussion. Here the students have to change to agree or disagree and time to think. It also gives you time to see what interests the students most.
Sometimes we only get through about 4 words and the 2.5 hours is done...good luck

Medicine Cabinet
This is for introducing your medicine unit. I used this with my adult esl class and then encouraged them to bring in medicine bottles and included the new vocab on another review worksheet.

Synonyms
This is a worksheet on synonyms. We did this as an introduction in our afternoon conversation class. It just seems to put them into the right frame of mind. It took almost 45 minutes with discussion of the vocabulary. Have fun SORRY I see that I made a spelling error work=word in the directions...please change for your students. Thanks

Things to Discuss #1
This is a great starter for conversations/discussions. The student needs to think that the topic is positive or negative and either agrees -yes or disagrees -no with the subject. Then they can write down a few words to use in the discussion as a visual...more to come.
