This is a great activity sheet that the students can use to make up their own dilogues for the use of the telephone. Reinforce that as long as you are polite the native speaker can be very, very helpful. Practice makes perfect.

This worksheet provides the student with the necessary voacabulary when shopping the Canada. My students spoke about their shopping expereinces for over an hour. Iīv included as many stores as I could think of but you can add more. Typically, advise the student to be polite and respectful and store clerks will do everything they can for you.

Many of my students are confused about the food available and are often shocked that what they thought was a healthy choice was actually considered "junk food" to Canadians. Very useful for discussions concerning a healthy diet.

This worksheet provides a story for each group to discuss their ideas about shopping. One is about having everything under control- shopping is relaxing and beneficial. Credit card questions for conversation class
This works well during the shopping unit. You will also introduce a few idioms- in quotations. Working in pairs have them discuss the questions. Then put them answers in order from the most important to the least important. Enjoy...my students had a great time - most never having dealt with credit cards before.
