Reading comprehension about a family. Focus on family and have-has. I wrote this in order to practice reading in general with a few weaker students, while staying close to the current class topic. ordinal numbers board game
A fun board game to review ordinal numbers. 3-4 students play together. In turn they throw a die, read what it says on the square they got to (the fifth month) and jump to a square that corresponds to it (May). They keep on jumping back and forth over the board so the game can last a while! My students liked it a lot. I hope yours will too, Marion

Great to sing in the bus to pass the time on a school trip...
Taught this to my 6th graders just before they went on their school trip, they loved it. Some students may know it from the movie "bring it on". Different versions available on youtube.

Jobs board game - 2 A4�s put together
Students read the text in black (i.e. You look sick, you should go and see a...) and then they jump to the name (in big colorful letters) of the correct profession. some descriptions will have them return a few squares(like a returning toothache :)Print out both A4 pages and glue together to create 1 big game.
