I am back! I have been away for a while, although I have been stopping in periodically to see how you guys were doing. I am a teacher living in Japan and this site has made my life so much easier. Although I am being pulled in many different directions right now, I thought it necessary to make a renewed effort to give something back to this community and all you wonderful Teachers!

The Refridgerator Test: warm up activity (answer sheet included)
I use this with my students as a quick warm up at the beginning of class. It is a real fun and fast test that requires you to think well within the box. According to Andersen consulting worldwide, around 90 percent of the professionals they tested got all of the questions wrong. But many pre-school children got several correct answers. Mardi Gras
I made this for my Japanese students, to help introduce them to Mardi Gras. I included a short reading/listening comprehension quiz with it. The article can be read by the teacher or students and then they can take the quiz to help gauge comprehension. It made for a very fun and intresting class! I hope it does the same for you.
