Would you like to find adjective-noun COLLOCATIONS and adverb-adjective COLLOCATIONS with me?

hello everybody,

a sentence posted by franknbea in the caf today made me remember how important collocations are and how good they make one s English sound.

Frank said that something was a "crying shame".
I ve been looking for other adjective-noun collocations for a while since and come up with "excruciating pain", "clear distinction".

I then came across some adverb-adjective collocations like "bitterly cold", "highly qualified" and "painfully shy".

Can you think of any others, off the cuff? Let s make a collection, and I might make  worksheet out of it. If possible, advanced level.

I m GENUINELY INTERESTED in more collocations as I find them STRIKINGLY attractive.
Tonight I ll be UTTERLY EXHAUSTED after all this hard work on collocations.

P.S. Frank will be ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE, of course
