									Past simple overview
There are several tables to fill in the sheet. These tables serve to summarize (or re-discover) the rules for creating a sentence (affirmative, negative, interrogative form) in past simple tense. Students (with help of a teacher if necessary) should come up with ideas how to sum up the rules and merge the rows and cells of the tables with similar patterns eg. same pattern for creating sentences with a verb TO BE for I, he, she and it: I was/He was... Students should be aware that there are regular verbs as well as some irregular verbs.
The worksheet should motivate students for further use of past simple tense by showing them that it is, in fact, very easy to form different sentences with different subjects and verbs by remembering only a very few rules (except for all the cases of irregular verbs of course :-)
