How to be a Reporter
This is a full lesson plan for advanced students to give them a real roleplaying scenario. The preparation time takes about 1 hour to explain, organize the groups, let them interview each other, then time to compose their story, time to try and commit their story to memory. They should be practicing the live interviews privately by pretending to look into the camera and give their report. Each student then gets 2 minutes to attempt their live-broadcast news report with the teacher recording it on his camera phone. They each get 2 tries to do it, the best version is kept and replayed for them on the overhead projector if available. Total class time: 2 hours.
