THE USE OF PREPOSITIONS AFTER DITRANSITIVE VERBS
									Hello,
one of possible difficulties in the use of ditransitive verbs is that it is not always clear which preposition should be used before indirect objects. Even though the choice is limited (you usually use no preposition at all, for, or to), students are often at a loss and use what their intuition tells them, like in the following example: she suggested me an idea", which, as grammar explains, is wrong. So, Id like to call your attention to this grammatical nuance of ditransitive verbs, which, in my view, does not always receive sufficient coverage in grammar reference books for students. I hope the materials will also help your students practise the use of most common ditransitive verbs in English.
