Teddy Bear History
This is a brief history about the teddy bear. When Canadians give a gift it is often a teddy bear - by itself (very large) or included in a gift basket. One of my students asked why does everyone give a teddy bear and this is why. Enjoy Just more fun information about North America.

Pick your fights carefully!
This worksheet took 2 classes to complete. The discussions were wonderful and lively! The parents especially needed to understand how to argue with their children in a country where touching your child in anger causing marks is against the law. Had a great time.

reduced forms/ expressions
This is a list of the most frequent "reduced forms". This is a suprasegmental that is often over looked. Your students need to be made aware of their existence in order for them to have complete understanding of the targeted language. Good luck - start with brainstorming (what reduced forms do they know) and go from there...

My or Mine
This worksheet is an excellent resource when used to explain the use of my or mine in basic terms. This was a huge problem in my class with my adult students. You could make up your own questions about your own students. Have fun - remember KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Things to Discuss #1
This is a great starter for conversations/discussions. The student needs to think that the topic is positive or negative and either agrees -yes or disagrees -no with the subject. Then they can write down a few words to use in the discussion as a visual...more to come.
