NATASHA BEDINGFIELD - lyrics detectives
This is a ws based on listening to Natasha Bedingfields 2 songs. Its a fill-in and a synonyms fill-in, and her songs are not bad listening practice, because she sings very clearly and kids (esp teenagers) like the songs. I even used Soulmate as a dictation later on and they liked doing it like that (although, for a singing dictation, I would alw...

meals - song worksheet
Whenever I covered food with very little kids, I wanted a song that links meals and food, and that can have changeable vocabulary items (you can change food words as you like them). Finally I used an old melody and wrote these lines, and it worked. This is a worksheet with some lesson-plan ideas for teachers on page 2. I used it with preschoolers a...

ADVANCED VOCABULARY TREASURY - word games
This is a collection of word cards with advanced nouns and adjectives, with detailed instructions for the games and work you can do with them to improve your sts vocabulary, word formation, writing and speaking. Ive been using these cards with my FCE and CAE groups for several years, and they are very effective. The good thing about them is that...

CRIME VOCABULARY
This is a fill-in (with list of words provided) on court and crime vocabulary. I found it very useful while doing the crime units, and after doing the ws, we played word games with the given vocabulary and I had pairs of students write crime stories using the list of given words. It was very useful and fun, especially the follow-up story writing.

seasons - sort out the vocabulary
This is a sorting out ws, which is fairly simple and can be used for elementary sts of all ages. The great thing about this activity is that you can apply the idea to any knowledge level, any vocabulary and all ages, and you can do it as a game anywhere, with very little time to prepare and practically no extra materials, because it can even be don...

SUMMER DIARY - lots of fun stuff to do
I actually made this in my mother tongue for my son, and then I thought why not do it in English as well - its sort of a scrapbook/diary of experiences, books, events, fun.... everything a child goes through during the summer, along with some fun word-bank activities. Its goal is to inspire imagination and creativity and give the child a sense of...

BEGINNERS CHECK
This is a very simple ws you can use for beginner kids, as revisiom and consolidation. My kids like to paste these in their notebooks, because e. g. they use the stars exercise as picture dictionary. Sometimes I even use it with preschoolers who can read and write. I hope you find use for it.

travelling - DETAILED LESSON PLAN and activity sheet
This is a lesson-plan (page 2)and an activity card(page 3)for advanced levels (I used it with my FCE sts). Its perfect for breaking the classical organisation in the classroom, because it lets you use the whole classroom (you can even do it outside), your sts walk around writing tasks on different papers, and what keeps things interesting is that ...
