It is national road safety day in Israel next week. We were asked to relate to it somehow. This is a picture match explaining road signs relevant for young students in easy english.I cut it up and laminated it and students had to match the signs with the correct meaning, it worked well. Fool your students (have them fool themselves..)
In closing the unit on imperatives I brought them this �test�.
It states clearly they need to read all instructions BEFORE they begin and then itt has a series of silly commands (draw a fish, stand up and touch your ear etc.)The last one says they do not need to do any of them. Of course most of them are too busy drawing etc. to really read before...

11 color word cards
6 pages,11 basic colors. If you cut horizontally between the colors and then fold vertically between color and word you will get 11 cards with a color on one side and a color word on the other. I laminated them to last while practicing reading colors. Hope it is useful to you, Marion

Match description to animal (can/can�t)
Students read the short description (it has four legs it can swim and it can jump. It lives in the pond etc....) and match it to the appropriate animal.Great to practice reading and strengthen vocabulary of basic verbs as well as animals.
