Oral Presentation Rubric
This is a form I use to evaluate an oral presentation. I generally complete a form, giving suggestions or making comments below each category; allow the speaker to use the form for self-evaluation; and allow a classmate to use the form for peer evaluation and suggestions. I chose advanced level but I think it could be used for intermediate level as...

Oral Presentation Scoring Guide
What do you look for when students give oral reports? This rubric helps isolate particular aspects of making an oral presentation. Taj Mahal Dialogue
I have uploaded several short dialogues that I have made from stories in our reading books. This enables the students to have a speaking opportunity that is more colloquial and natural than reading from the text. This particular article was from the National Geographic Series.

Learning about The Beatles
My university students here in China love American music but many of them have never heard of the Beatles. My classes have 30 to 32 students so I decided to select 16 Beatles songs and pair my students to each song. I like to do my pairing randomly so I cut the song title into two parts, have my students line up and leave the room, giving them a pa...

COVID-19 Dialogue
I love to make dialogues for my students so they can practice conversational English. I use the text as a basis for the script and have students alternate. Since my classes are very small, this works well. In a large class, I would divide the students into groups and have them do the dialogues.
