Lost in America in colour and greyscale
Students read and study the dialogue before completing the “Which way?” puzzles. Then with a partner they use the map and dialogue to practice giving and receiving directions. I couldn’t get my design clear in my head until after looking at http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=631158#thetop so thanks go to Sonja1985.

3 pages of Phonic Fun with ou: worksheet, story and key (#10)
Hi, See my account for other worksheets in this series. The stories are classified as "decodable", but unlike many so called decodable stories these have over 90 percent decodable text as opposed to the 40- 60 percent found in most "phonic readers" I mix sentence fragments with grammatically correct sentences as fragments are often easier for beg...

3 pages of Phonic Comics with ur: worksheet, comic dialogue and key (#29)
Hi, There are 3 of my worksheets today. As I said, the format has been changed. I had a very good reaction to this "comic" format from my friends and now I would like some feedback from other teachers. Notice the small picture on the top right hand side of the dialogues, this tells the teacher, and the students, what the target sound/spelling i...

What is cold?: pictionaries, 2 versions with and without words. Instructions inside.
The Pictionaries (posters) are an addition to my earlier work "hot or cold?", which can be found in my account. Suggestions on how to use the materials can be found on page 3. I think this is the only hot cold poster on the Net. The hot variety of this poster can be found here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=564292#thetop

3 Magic pages of Phonic Fun with a_e: worksheet, story and key (#21)
Hi, I plan to focus five worksheets on magic e and this is the first one. Probably you know that magic e, although silent, is not the same as a silent e because it has the power to change the preceding vowel sound. See my account for other worksheets in this series. The stories are classified as "decodable", but unlike many so called decodabl...

What is big?: pictionaries, 2 versions with and without words. Instructions inside.
Whether something is big or little is relative and most of the teaching materials available do not show this relativity but this work does. Look out for the little pictionary which is here http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=567220#thetop and the big little bingo which is coming in a day or so. This worksheet complements my earlier work...

Hungry! (In colour and greyscale).
I have rewritten my dialogue to give practice with quantities and food in a restaurant setting. Students read the dialogue, do the vocabulary puzzle (answers are all in the dialogue) and then they do the comprehension questions both orally and written. This worksheet can also be used in role play.
