A TRIBUTE TO TINA TURNER
I started it off by writing 1939-1971-2009 on the board and asking students to elicit ideas about what these years might refer to and which historical events happened in this span of time. Then we did the lyrics in groups of 2-3, then we watched Tina and Beyonce perform Proud Mary, then read the biography... Do I need to say how impressed they were...

BEGINNERS� CHECK
This is a very simple ws you can use for beginner kids, as revisiom and consolidation. My kids like to paste these in their notebooks, because e. g. they use the stars exercise as picture dictionary. Sometimes I even use it with preschoolers who can read and write. I hope you find use for it.

lucky lyrics
My students and I just loved this summer song, and they enjoyed doing the worksheet - it seems simple at first - you just have to listen to the song and fix certain words, but they found it challenging in some places and all missed the first �hear�... Try it (teacher�s copy is the right column)...
