A short exercise for advanced adult groups that like to talk about current affairs. I got the idea from ESL printables member, Stephen Caupano. It can be played with the bottom word box covered to make it more challenging with extra points for funny headlines. Answers overleaf.

Alternatives to Problem
A short explanation of the different ways to express the noun "problem" in English in technical situations. I did this for my engineers but it can easily be changed for less technical contexts. There is a dice game to help the students practice and a second page with more practice sentences.
