Poetry brainteaser
It can be partially taught at "Conditionals" grammar lesson, but I sometimes give it to students just before we start learning and analyzing some poetry. It deprives them from saying "Poetry is soooo boring". Well, it sometimes does. :)

Past Simple through the Song
An old but still nice song to revise Past Simple. If you play the guitar, you may bring it and sing instead of listening to the song on a disc. First I ask students to try and guess the missing words just from the worksheet. My students liked it very much.
