Wordfind Challege with Vowel Die and Consonant Die ( Black and White Version Included, 7 pages in total) worksheet

Hello friends. When using this activity you must take care to make sure that your students do not change the letters at the top of their sheet after they have rolled the dice 20 times. They may try to do this to create more words. If you suspect this may happen you can do several things to prevent it. 1) Have the students write the letters in felt tip marker or pen and tell them that no letters may be altered or they must start over. 2) Record their letters on a sheet at the front of the classroom. 3) Take away their dice after the first 10 minutes of the activity. Other Ideas: With this activity you may give points for each word up to 20 and then bonus points for each additional word they find. You may also add a rule that they are not allowed any words with only 1 or 2 letters. For fun you may add a time limit to this “game”. The whole class can check the winning teams answers if they are written on the board, on a projector or interactive white board. *Please remind your students that they will need enough vowels. You will notice that the consonant die does not include the letter y. I did that because that template only contains 20 spaces and not 21. There is a letter Y on the vowel die. Your students may use the Y as a consonant or a vowel.
