A chance to educate them about the importance of bees, as well. We need the bees more than they need us. And the human angle, what can we learn from those bees?

Ruby tells a tale on another girl but she does not get the reaction she hoped for. They read the story and answer the questions. Then they are asked to consider what they would have done in that situation. An area to follow up would be �tales with a twist�.

Pair work activity: follow the instructions and draw...
The students work in pairs. Each pair has one picture of the house and either part A or part B. Then, they follow each other�s instructions. Or, this can be done as a running dictation, with the A and B cards pinned up on the wall. A fun activity!
