I started to write a ws about my home city, Durham, but this took over! As children, we were threatened that the Lambton worm would come back and get us if we were naughty. Two sheets with a reading comp with lots of irregular past simple, 40 questions, true or false, match up and glossary.

Bertie the dog rescues Fluffy the kitten
A short heart-warming story based on an interactive card by the fabulous Jacqui Lawson (link included). After reading the passage, the students match up the sentence parts, then they replace the verbs. The key to the match-up is at the bottom of page 2.

How did you do this year?
Itīs the end of the academic year in some parts and a chance for the students to have a bit of self reflection time. The language used is the language of assessment and although I have prepared this for native speakers, I hope it might be useful for some of you.
