New Alphabet Tracks: letter h in full color, black and white and blank.
This is another of my "new" "Alphabet Tracks" Another idea is to provide players with a list of the words and they have to try and complete the ‘spelling’ track without any errors and without reference to the list. The child holding the list checks the spelling of the other player/s. More information and a key inside.
Todays other contribu...

Family Flash Cards: 49-56 of 72
Although these are primarily designed as family flash cards they can be used in many other areas such as, as previously mentioned, in combination with verb cards. "Whats your sister doing?" For physical descriptions, "What does your grandfather look like?" and for fashion, "Whats your friend wearing?"
Ill have to try out all these ideas myself.

Nobody Wanted to Play ORT
I wrote this one out by hand more about 30 years ago and computerised it in 2006. It is a vocabulary exercise designed for use with an Oxford Reading Tree extended story. I have several more such worksheets, which can be used as stand-alone worksheets, so if anyone wants more of them then let me know in the comments, otherwise they will stay on my ...

A, An or Some
Last semester I gave my uni students a lovely worksheet from Ana (Katiana), which used a, an, some, much, many and any as a review, and they did so badly. Dont blame me. Anyway I have created this one in the hope that they will more than just guess and gain some confidence in their English. I hope you dont need an answer key at this level.

Clean or Dirty Cards 13-24 (of 24) with answer key (for worksheet) and game suggestions
Clean and Dirty may seem to be simple concepts it is a relative concept. An pig may always seem dirty to me but not always so to another pig. Anyway, in this set there are 10 pairs of flash cards (20 different cards) with backs and a worksheet. The worksheet follows my hot/cold worksheet design from long ago.

Phonics Criss Cross Puzzle: 4 versions included
I like criss cross puzzles as they make the child think about the whole of the word and not just the beginning and end. They also have to consider the length of the words. Such puzzles are not only useful but interesting for the student.
This particular puzzle, which comes in 4 different variations, focuses on the spelling patterns and sounds repr...

Mini Book 10: Brazil in colour and greyscale
I have rewritten this 2005 story to make a suitable for a mini book. This story uses only single letter sounds apart from the word the, so early readers and dyslexics should have little difficulty in reading it.
For reading comprehension interact with the children like this:
Is Brazil a big or a little country?
Show me a (tamarin).
Can you (...

Adverbs and Adjectives (series 2) with keys
This is the first in a new series, which focuses on longer adjectives and adverbs. Students complete the word search, crosswords and read the sentences to distinguish the context to help them choose the correct adverb or adjective to complete each sentence. If the response is reasonable, I will create some more.
I hope that you and your stude...

3 pages of Phonic Comics with ey: worksheet, comic dialogue and key (#31)
Hi,
There are 3 of my worksheets today.
This story/dialogue is one of my favourites as it is based on facts. My young son "Jonathan" (ignoring my warning) ran in front of a car and had his leg broken. My students love rolling on the floor shouting "My leg! My leg! My leg!"
It is possible that this worksheet will take me past the 5000 point mark ...
