I am now, after more than 5 decades in the work force, officially semi-retired. New hobby: gardening. Old hobby restarting: table tennis. I still have some classes to teach and materials to design, many of which I will continue to share with the dear members of ESLPs. You may come across my materials on Facebook and my blog.

InTense Board Game activity cards 13-24 of 36
I uploaded these yesterday but there was some problem so Im trying again. Roll the die and change the pronoun and tense and form a sentence. My parents acted in a new action film. Asking Directions with Answer Key
Students fill in the blanks and practise the dialogues. The editable page is designed for a correspondence type lesson. I deliberately avoided the overuse of the word straight as students often think of it as a preposition of movement, which it isnt.

Simple Past Simple 1 with keys
When you introduce your pupils to the past simple you have also to teach them the spelling rule related to single syllable words where the final consonant is usually doubled after a short vowel. Not in the case of x because that says /ks/. Well I am poor at teaching grammar so this worksheet will do the teaching for me. It is my first and I will ...

Words and Sentences 3 with answer key.
The first one in the series came out 7 months ago. This one focuses on the affixes -ence and -ance, which are difficult when it comes to spelling because they generally sound the same, if root is ant, then we use ance and if the root is ent we use ence, but English seems to have exceptions everywhere. The key is on page two.

What are they playing? games flash cards 1-12 of 24
These go with another of my What are they playing? worksheets, the one that focuses on childrens games. I created them because many students may not know these games. In pair work one child hold the card and ask What (game) are they playing?, then they ask a follow up question such as Do you like playing/want to play? The pictures are high...
