Im a Brit living in Spain teaching English because thats all I could find over here. I like it though. I also upload my worksheets on ISL Collective, normally a day or two after I have done so here. br You can order my books by pasting this into the browser: https://www.amazon.es/Dale-Bates/e/B08QD5M5PQ?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1613573760&sr=8-1

Train Timetable Questions: Grammar and Practice activities
I have used this for a few years now and have found it to be very useful. There is a small section of a train timetable on the first page with some examples of "How many times a day ...?" questions as well as "How often does ...?" and "How long does it take ...?" along with some small explanations of the grammar. Once all the grammar has been done,...

Print, laminate and cut out the cards. Organise the class into two teams. Take one card at a time and read out the first question (or give to the students to read). Teams must choose A, B, or C, as the answer. One point is given for a correct answer. The origin of the idiom is then read out with an additional point given for a correct answer.

Phrasal Verb Project with Over
This is a small project for phrasal verbs with "over." It has a gap-fill exercise, mix and match, story with debate, invent your own gap-fill and my phrasal verb snap game. The whole thing should take about 3 hours to do. Bingo can be used for large groups but the snap cards can be used with individual classes or small even number groups. Nice lit...

Phrasal Verb Bingo: Phrasal Verbs with In Part 1

Read the list below the bingo cards aloud and tell the students not to take notes. Provide at least one example or get one of the students to provide one...

Weather idioms exercise with key
A small cloze exercise for advanced students complete with key and fully editable. Something I did a few years ago and it has been sitting on my PC doing nothing ever since. Not sure if some of the expressions are different the other side of the pond or not. You might need to check.

A short reading giving the history of the Empire State Building done in the style of and FCE Reading and Use of English part 1 paper. Answers included, of course. Real Estate Worksheet
Ive been using this for about 10 years now and its a pretty flexible little worksheet. I use it to accompany a chapter we have to do with renting flats and houses. I normally start by going through the Estate agents key on the second page and then move to the first page which is used as a reading (for correcting pronunciation etc.) I then field ...
