Thanksgiving (Teens and adults) listening reading and speaking
Here are some materials I made for an adult intermediate class on Thanksgiving. It would also be suitable for advanced students. The class is 2.5 hours, so there´s a lot of material here. It starts off with a youtube video about the history of Thanksgiving and its traditions http://www.youtube.com/v/xL9HrFIedtg&feature=youtube accompanied by listening comprehension questions. Next, there are some discussion questions about Thanksgiving followed by a Thanksgiving son. After that, there is a section with Native American proverbs, which can be used for reading and / or discussion. Finally, there´s a gap-fill / cloze dialogue focusing on vocabulary.
