									B1-B2 Practise with intensifiers & mitigators 1
Students should learn to use intensifiers and mitigators to communicate more precisely, fluently, and naturally. Intensifiers make statements stronger, while mitigators soften them, allowing for nuanced expression of emotions and opinions. Mastering these tools improves writing, speaking, and listening skills, helping students adjust language based on context. It also enhances cultural and social awareness, enabling students to use language appropriately in different situations. Ultimately, it makes their communication more engaging and effective. First, students need to familiarise themselves with the intensifiers & mitigators and their use. Then they read the sentences to work out which one is needed to complete the gap-fill. Each intensifier & mitigator is used 2 times! Obviously, there are more than 1 possible answer! Possible answers on page 2
