Harry Potter vs Gandalf
This powerpoint compares Harry with Gandalf. There are a number of activities: two clozes - missing words and missing vowels, a true or false and pictures that can be used for memory games/guessing games or splat. Mona Lisa vs Medusa
Making comparisons/ drawing analogies is a great way to teach EAL. This made a great lesson and so I continued with more comparisons: Harry Potter vs Gandalf, Batman vs Jack Sparrow etc. Great fun, great for language development.
